Job Description

The position is very simple but must be handled with exacting focus and precision because we’re dealing with real cash and it gets real expensive real fast when mistakes are made with sign placement or when on a courier run.

Here are the responsibilities:

  • You’ll place 18×24” Coroplast real estate type “bandit” signs using a map we’ll provide and upload a street scene of each sign into SimpleCrew smartphone app. The average courier can put out 25-30+ signs per hour because the locations each have multiple exits and they’re densely clumped together. (example: exits and drive thru at McDonalds, Wendy’s, Burger King, Walmart, Golden Corral, etc.)
  • The signs will generate calls of sellers who want to sell sealed and non-expired diabetic test strips. When we have coordinated a buy, we’ll create a Courier Run in Podio and you’ll automatically be emailed and texted the buy information with name, address, phone number, product we’re picking up, how much we’re paying, etc. We will send you the funds for the buy via PayPal.
  • You’ll then use Vezma smartphone app to track your time and mileage (so you can be paid for the mileage).
  • You’ll go to the meet location, verify that the product is what was described, the seals are intact, and there’s no damage to the boxes. If everything is ok, you’ll release the cash, get the receipt signed on your iPhone or Android and pick up the test strips.
  • If there are other courier runs, you’ll handle those as well, otherwise, you can continue with sign placement.
  • We’ll send you a heat gun because some of the boxes will have pharmacy labels on them and they have to be removed prior to shipment. Takes literally two seconds but you have to be careful because you can burn the box if you’re not paying attention and have it too close to the box.
  • We’ll provide a packing slip and shipping label and prior to 4PM, you’ll go to the USPS and ship the test strips.
  • Once the strips are shipped, you’ll upload images of the strips you purchased and the USPS receipt into Podio.
  • Then, it’s lather, rinse, repeat. We’ll walk you through your first half dozen runs until you get comfortable with product knowledge and know what to watch out for but it’s very simple.

Some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

  • Is it legal? ~ Yes, we do not purchase stolen test strips, test strips intentionally solicited by sellers from Medicaid/Medicare/VA for the sole purpose of resale, or strips that will leave a seller short of what they need to follow their prescribed care plan.
  • How much do I get paid? ~ Sign placement is paid at $1/sign placed and the average sign placer can place 25-30 signs per hour because the locations are so condensed together and each location has multiple sign placements. Courier runs are paid at $15-$20/hr plus .19/mi for reimbursement in accordance with IRS guidelines
  • When and how often do I get paid? ~ That’s probably the best part. As soon as you submit an invoice. You’re not an employee so we don’t have any need to adhere to defined paydays. You do the work and submit your invoice and you get paid. You can submit an invoice as often as you need to.
